We're sorry. We're so sorry... David Tennant won't be reprising his role as The Doctor.
Speaking on ITV's This Morning on whether he's been tempted back by Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch writer and upcoming showrunner), Tennant replied: "Well, I don't think it works that way. I don't think you get a second chance."
When asked who he'd like to see as the Thirteenth Doctor: "I am not even whispering. Can you imagine? I'm saying nothing," he replied. "You say half a sentence and there's a headline!" (He actually makes a very good point...)
On a potential female actor being cast in the role, Tennant simply said: "Anything is possible."
David Tennant is currently starring in Broadchurch, which airs on Mondays at 9pm on ITV. You can watch his full interview on This Morning below, where he talks about the brand new series!
