BBC Store, the online digital streaming and downloading service for the UK, is reportedly set to close just 18 months after its launch.
The BBC Store, operated commercially by BBC Worldwide and launched in November 2015, has opened up the BBC Archives, bringing you over 60 years of programming to watch instantly.
This includes adventures in time and space, with an incredibly wide range of classic and new Doctor Who stories being made easily available for fans to purchase through their website, as well as exclusives to the online Store.
Thinking back to November 2016, the BBC Store exclusively released the animated version of the Second Doctor adventure, 'The Power of the Daleks' in both its original black and white format and later in colour.
This story was previously missing, but has been brought back to life as an animation for fans to enjoy once again!

Now however, and to presumably to the disappointment of many fans (including ourselves), The Telegraph are reporting that this could all come to an end very soon, as the online digital service will cease trading due to the rapid growth of subscription services, such as Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.
An unnamed source at the BBC is reported to have said: "The download market isn't what it once was."
BBC Director General, Lord Tony Hall, is believed to be behind the decision, seeking cost savings and cutbacks across the corporation, and is now searching for alternative methods of commercially sharing programmes from the archives with customers.
Lord Hall has been closely involved with the launch of the US subscription service BritBox - a joint venture between the BBC and ITV - and may look to launch a similar service in the UK in the near-future.
The BBC have as yet released no official statements regarding the potential closure of the BBC Store. We attempted to contact The Telegraph, however they refused to name the BBC source they referred to in their article.
We will certainly be very sad to see the closure of the BBC's new digital venture! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
