The 2017 Christmas Special of Doctor Who has received an overnight viewing figure of 5.66 million. This is a 29.1% share of TV in total for Christmas Day.
These figures include viewers who watched the first broadcast of the episode on BBC One, and those who recorded the episode to watch at a later time. BBC iPlayer viewers aren't yet included.
Doctor Who was the fifth most popular programme on 25th December 2017, beaten only by the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas Special (6.8 million), Strictly Come Dancing (6.5 million), Call the Midwife (6.3 million) and EastEnders (6.3 million).
