 Christopher Eccleston is set to return as the Ninth Doctor in a brand new series of Big Finish audio adventures.
First seen on screen in 2005, Christopher Eccleston’s Ninth Doctor introduced a whole new generation of fans to Doctor Who. Now he's back, with a brand-new series of twelve fantastic full-cast audio adventures in space and time, due to be released across four box sets, starting with volume one in May 2021.  The BBC has revealed all the artwork and special features included with the upcoming animated release of 'Fury From The Deep'.
The six episode serial stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon and Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield. The original televised episodes aired back in 1968 and are now completely missing, however the new high definition animated versions are being released in both full colour and black and white and includes any surviving clips from the original production. As the New Year begins, a terrifying evil is stirring from across the centuries of Earth’s history. As the Doctor, Ryan, Graham and Yaz return home, will they be able to overcome the threat to planet Earth?

David Tennant and Catherine Tate reprise their roles as the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble in Doctor Who for three new audio adventures for Big Finish.
In addition to Tennant and Tate, Jacqueline King will return as Sylvia Noble, Donna’s mother and, returning to Big Finish after an eleven-year absence, Bernard Cribbins will reprise his role as Wilfred Mott, Donna’s grandfather. Doctor Who fans can now zoom through a virtual reality version of the show’s iconic title sequence in a new game from the BBC.
Doctor Who Time Vortex VR combines casual, arcade-style gaming with virtual reality to create an unforgettable experience that gives players the chance to pilot the TARDIS through the depths of the terrifying space-time vortex! The game is a VR reboot of the successful Time Vortex 360 mobile game released earlier this year. As they speed through time, players will tackle hazards and obstacles emerging from the future ahead of them, and will need to quickly react by physically turning around to evade threats from the past. As players progress through the game, they are transported into different time zones from past eras, from the current vortex to re-imagined designs from the 1960s and 1980s. The BBC have released a trailer and air date for Jodie Whittaker's new four-part BBC One drama, 'Trust Me'.
Jodie Whittaker will star as Cath Hardacre; a hardworking and skilled nurse, who, having lost her job for whistle-blowing, is forced to take drastic measures to provide for her daughter. Out of desperation, Cath seizes the opportunity to steal her best friend’s identity as a senior doctor and start a new life in Edinburgh. Burying herself deeper and deeper in the imposter persona, she realises she could get everything she ever wanted - but with her old life threatening to destroy her fragile creation, how far will she go to protect it? Jodie says: “I'm so excited to be a part of this project. It's an incredibly challenging piece with a fantastic cast and crew. I haven't played a role like this before.” Joining Jodie will be Emun Elliott (The Paradise, Threesome) who will play Dr Andy Brenner. A senior doctor within the A&E department, Andy, who was born and raised in Edinburgh, is smart, witty and charming. Other cast members include Nathan Walsh as investigative journalist Sam Kelly, Lois Chimimba as nurse Karen, Michael Abubakar as Dr Charlie McKee, and Cara Kelly, as Cath’s neighbour Mona. Directed by John Alexander (Indian Summers, Small Island, Sense And Sensibility) and Amy Neil (Call The Midwife, Bedlam, The Cut), Trust Me is a drama written by doctor, Dan Sefton. Set and filmed in and around Edinburgh and Glasgow, the series continues the BBC’s commitment to boosting and invigorating drama in Scotland.
