The BFI are set to screen a brand new animation of The Wheel in Space, a mostly missing Doctor Who story.
As part of the 25th birthday of the Missing Believed Wiped event at the British Film Institute, a new animated segment from Episode One of the Patrick Troughton story, which was lost back in the 1970s, will be screened at the event and will later be released on BBC DVD. Only two of the six episodes are still in the BBC Archives today.
Charles Norton is the producer of the mini-episode and Anne Marie Walsh is the director. Norton previously produced the animated revival of The Power of the Daleks, released in 2016 by the BBC Store and Shada, released in 2017. Walsh will be attending the event and is set to introduce the mini-episode. There will be an interview with Philip Morris, who has previously returned other Doctor Who stories to the BBC Archives.
You can find out more about the BFI's Missing Believed Wiped event on the BFI website. The event will be held at the BFI's Southbank Centre on the 15th December 2018.
