Doctor Who's wonderful composer Murray Gold is reportedly set to leave the show.
Gold, who has composed all the music and theme tunes for Doctor Who since its revival in 2005, will make his departure following the 2017 Christmas Special, however the reasons behind this are not yet completely clear.
It is thought that new showrunner Chris Chibnall wants a bit of a shake-up behind the scenes, which results in the majority of the cast and crew being replaced, including Murray Gold himself. It is said that Gold would have been more than happy to stay with the show, should he have been asked, but sadly this doesn't seem to be the case.
The BBC are yet to officially confirm this news, and so we'll be sure to keep you posted on any developments as and when they happen.
So as far as we're aware right now, Murray Gold’s final work on Doctor Who will be for 'Twice Upon a Time' this Christmas, and we've added a few of our favourite soundtracks from Gold's previous episodes below.
